Staff: Joseph Cuevas

Joey was inspired to work with Friends of the Children by the opportunity to make a positive difference in a youth's life. "Every school visit, every outing, every clubhouse visit, there is an opportunity to make a positive impact on a youth's life," he shares. He is proud of the rapport and trust that he has built with the youth, caregivers, and school staff.

To Joey, community means a sense of belonging. One of the core assets at Friends of the Children is belonging. His goal is for our youth and caregivers to feel a sense of belonging to something special at Friends of the Children - Phoenix.

Joey lives out the Friends of the Children values outside of work by having strong integrity, helping people in need to the best of his ability, being a positive person, and being a proud father and husband to his daughter and wife.
